Team
Aberdeen is a new
junior performance coaching program offered by Aberdeen Snowsports Centre
and Aberdeen Snowsports Club.
The Team
aims to produce top class riders and skiers by providing a committed, fun
and supportive group with highly professional coaching and priority access
to the best possible facilities.
Our aim
is to be the best junior coaching program in the
UK.
How does Team Aberdeen fit
with other classes & club sessions at Garthdee?
The Team
provides a performance pathway for good riders, both ski and board,
freestyle and race. The Team is open to all of school-age.
Once the
red level blocks have been completed at Garthdee riders may join the
Wednesday evening freestyle & race sessions, or the weekend morning
Kids Clubs. These sessions are part of the Team Aberdeen structure and
represent the entry point to Team Aberdeen.
Once a
high level of performance has been reached at these sessions, team members
may be invited to join the High Performance Team section within Team
Aberdeen.
The
Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday sessions mentioned above are open to all
and it is not a requirement to be a member of Team Aberdeen to participate
in those “entry point” sessions.
